        The presulfurization sulfur tolerant shift catalyst of KC-103S was applied successfully in the axial-radial converter of 1800 kt/a methanol synthesis shift unit at Shaanxi Pucheng Clean Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. on the November 11, 2016. At present, this unit is operating under the full load and smooth running. The pressure drop of the converter and CO concentration of the outlet are all better than the design value.


        The presulfidication sulfur tolerant shift catalyst of KC-103S is a new generation of revolutionary products sulfur tolerant sulfur catalyst, being produced by our proprietary technology (KTRES, ex-situ presulfurization technology), filling the gap of international and reaching the international advanced level. There is no need for nitrogen protection in the process of storage, transportation and loading of the catalyst and its usage method is the same as conventional oxidation sulfur tolerant catalyst. Without presulfidication process before use, it can be directly put into use after rising the desired temperature by pure nitrogen, being more convenient.


        Besides, the start-up time of the presulfurization sulfur tolerant shift catalyst of KC-103S can be greatly shortened about 2/3 while its start-up costs can be saved significantly. The over-temperature risk of catalyst bed is reduced as far as possible. At the same time, avoid the waste of resources and environmental pollution being massive emission during the start-up process. The KTRES ex-situ presulfurization technology can save operation cost of more than 7.0 million RMB, comparing with the conventional  oxidation sulfur tolerant catalyst.
