Anhui Carbon Xin Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaibei Mining, has a set of coke oven gas comprehensive utilization device. The coke oven gas comprehensive utilization project was commenced in September 2019. It is a major strategic emerging industry project in Huaibei City to promote the development of the whole industrial chain of coal resource deep processing industry and support the transformation and upgrading of resource-based cities. The design scale is to produce 500000 tons of methanol annually. The total investment of the project is about 2.1 billion yuan. The project is mainly to comprehensively utilize the released tail gas of Linhuan Coking Company and supplement carbon through the pulverized coal gasification device, The carbon is fixed to produce methanol products, and the coke oven gas is used to produce methanol purge gas. After the coal gasification and carbon supplement, the annual output of methanol is 500000 tons. Shenning furnace pulverized coal gasification is adopted for gasification. Isothermal shift technology is adopted for shift section. The process features high CO and low water gas ratio, which is a big test for side reaction control of catalyst.

In May 2022, our company's low water gas ratio presulfurized sulfur tolerant shift catalyst KC-102S was successfully applied in Anhui Carbon Xin 500000 t/a methanol project. After the guidance of our professional technicians, the loading, heating and gas conduction were successfully started. During the operation, the bed temperature is well controlled, showing a good conversion rate of the catalyst, and effectively inhibiting the generation of side reactions such as methanation and mercaptan and thioether. So far, the unit has run smoothly and the catalyst has shown excellent performance.

The successful application of low water gas ratio presulfiding sulfur tolerant shift catalyst KC-102S in the high CO low water gas ratio isothermal shift process for pulverized coal gasification has once again proved the maturity and reliability of the presulfiding catalytic technology independently developed by our company.
