Introduction |
As active components precursor, cobalt and molybdenum are exist in the form of oxide in the catalyst. Sulfurization is necessary to convert oxides to sulfides before using. At the inlet, the temperature increases at a rate of 20-30C/h to 120C and maintain this constant temperature for around 2 hours. After the beds achieving the 200C,keep this temperature constant for another 2 hours. The operating conditions of Claus unit need to be adjusted in order to make(H2S+COS)/SO2 ratio in the sulfur exhaust to be 4-6 when the bed temperature has approached 200C.At the same time, increasing the H2 content in the fuel gas to 3-5%at the entrance of the reactor until sulfurization is done. Also, the sulfurizing temperature needs to be controlled between 200C and 260C. After catalyst sulfurization, the temperature continues to increase to 300C at a rate of 20C/h.Then (H2S+COS)/SO2 ratio in the Claus unit is adjusted to 2:1 and the inlet temperature is controlled at 300C+5C.If the hydrogenation performance is still not good enough as time goes on,temperature can be appropriately increased to ensure there is no SO2 and COS in the process gas from the reactor outlet. |
