KC-501 high-temperature methanation catalyst is mainly used for SNG process.It is prepared from metal of nickel as active component with carrier of inorganic composite oxide through special preparation technology.This catalyst has high stability,strong abrasion resistance and high corrosion resistance under conditions of high temperature and high steam partial pressure so that it is suitable in the process involving high CO and CO2 concentration.
Nickel exists in the form of oxide in the catalyst.Before being used,reduction is necessary to obtain catalytic activity by converting nickel oxide to metal nickel.KC-501 catalyst does not contain any substances that harmful to the equipment and the body.The reduction process only produces a small amount of water.The working life of the catalyst is usually more 2 years depending on the working conditions.
